With almost 4,000 companies and over 18,000 jobs, the town of Melle is the largest business location in the Osnabrück region and is valued by companies as an ideal location, not least thanks to its central location between East Westphalia, Münsterland, Osnabrück and Emsland.
The location in the northwest German city triangle of Osnabrück-Bielefeld-Münster, the connection to the long-distance transportation network via the A30 freeway, low municipal taxes and business parks with direct freeway access. The medium-sized town with around 48,000 inhabitants is the third largest city in Lower Saxony with an area of 254 km² and is made up of a total of eight strong districts.
