| Comment on the transport infrastructure: | The district of Oldenburg is surrounded by a triangle of highways. The A1, the A28 and the A29 run through the district of Oldenburg, so that it is only a very short distance from any point in the district to one of the 12 highway entrances. In addition to a well-developed railroad infrastructure with a total of 13 railroad stations on 3 different routes, the district of Oldenburg also has a good rail network. The district of Oldenburg has two airfields in Ganderkesee and Hatten. The Ahlhorn airbase is a logistics center. |

The district of Oldenburg is "at the center of the centers". This means that these centers can be reached from here in a very short time thanks to the connecting location between the regional centers of Bremen and Oldenburg. Excellent transport connections, a good infrastructure and villages with recognized high residential and recreational values as well as charming scenic diversity with excellent hiking and cycling opportunities determine its particular attractiveness and stand for quality of life in rural areas. The dense highway network offers numerous easily accessible business locations.
The district is characterized by a business-friendly administration, both in the eight municipalities (one of which is a joint municipality) and in the administration of the district of Oldenburg itself.
