One has to have a certain soft spot for the region here in East Frisia, that's true. The coast is very close, the countryside seems to be endless. The people in Wittmund cherish the expanse and the peace. They also appreciate it when not too many words are lost, but things simply get done. In Wittmund nobody is anonymous, but everyone gets the space they need.
Apropos space: there's a lot of that here in the far north. Wittmund counts an area of 210 square kilometres its own. routes are short from here. Wilhelmshaven and the JadeWeserPort are not even half an hour away. In the other direction, Aurich, Emden and Leer are quickly reached. Wittmund lies in the middle of an imaginary axis across the East Frisian peninsula. The prospects are good here - the landscape vistas, the enjoyment of the people, and the promise of a successful future for enterprise.
