The special area is only a few minutes away from the city harbor, the KLV terminal for rail traffic and the B68 highway feeder road to the A1. External access is via Fürstenauer Weg.
The nearest highway A1 with the Osnabrück-Nord junction is just under 5 km away. No residential areas are crossed on the way to the A1. The A1 provides access to the A30 and A33.
The Osnabrück city port has trimodal connections to the European transport network by inland waterway, rail and road. It is a hub for the transportation of goods and national and international freight forwarding networks. Major investments are currently being made in the port infrastructure. A container terminal for rail transshipment is being built at a cost of 30 million euros and will start operations in 2021.
