The rail connection in the district town of Meppen is 15 km away; the highway connection "A 31" can be reached in approx. 18 km. |

Location description¹:
Haselünne is the oldest „town“ in the heart of Emsland. 15 villages belong to the town. The 159 square kilometer urban area has around 13,800 inhabitants.
The urban redevelopment measure „Innenstadt“ (city center), which has already been carried out, has contributed significantly to the beautification of the city center; the urban redevelopment measure "Nördliche Innenstadt" (northern city center), which is currently still being implemented, will continue this goal and take structural change into account for the future. The city has a positive aura from which the gastronomy and retail sectors in particular benefit.
The residential areas in and around the town are also very attractive and in high demand.
A primary care hospital is located in the town. There are also all types of schools and sufficient nursery and crèche places in the town.
Trade and commerce
Haselünne offers a wide range of medium-sized businesses the best possible location conditions. In the food sector, it is not only the world-famous alcoholic beverages that have given the old grain and Hanseatic town its decorative additional name, but also a large bakery with an international clientele in addition to a soft drinks production plant. The following commercial sectors are also represented in the town: Road construction and civil engineering companies, construction companies, a concrete construction plant, a wood sawmill, a metal processing company specializing in special apparatus construction and a company for the development, production and sale of measuring devices, software and system solutions for the gas, water and wastewater sector.
The retail sector is dominated by stores from the textile industry and, together with many other well-managed stores, makes Haselünne an interesting shopping town for the surrounding area. The retail-relevant purchasing power retention rate is 143.5%. Conveniently located parking facilities, some of which are free of charge, make a decisive contribution to this.
