Special location features¹ | Through the opening-up of Eastern Europe, the administrative district of Schaumburg has moved into a central within the axes of European business. Whether it is through the A 2 federal motorway, the rail traffic between East and West, the Mittelland Canal or the River Weser: the entire region adopts an important turntable position in East/West and North/South traffic - with good opportunities for all sectors of business and industry.
The economic development and business promotion agencies in the Schaumburger Land region makes existing development possibilities visible and actively supports firms in realising their goals. It is not for nothing that the district of Schaumburg was chosen as Lower Saxony's first "SME-friendly local government unit" in 2002. This praise is at once an accolade and a responsibility.
