| Object description | Through its situation on the edge of the city, the high proportion of old trees, its arrangement on the south slope of the Limberg hill and the good-as-new condition of its sports facilities, the former barrack grounds of the British armed forces have a special character. The special potential of the site lies in the direct traffic link planned for the adaptive-reuse area to the A 33 motorway with northern and southern connections.
Apart from business uses, the draft conceptions up to now have recommended strengthening the "Green Finger" Sandbachtal and preserving the special vegetation situation with extensive green structures, wide-ranging parks and old tree stocks. The existing situation with modern sports halls and outside sport facilities makes utilisation for commercial leisure offers a rational option. The needs of business enterprises are also met, for instance through the large halls that exist in the north. |
