The integrated municipality (Samtgemeinde) of Rethem lies on the River Aller. It has just under 5,000 inhabitants and comprises the member municipalities of Böhme, Frankenfeld, Häuslingen and the town of Rethem. The town of Rethem has a town-town character and is the administrative seat and centre of the integrated municipality. High-quality commercial sites and building areas are available in Rethem, Häuslingen, Böhme and Stöcken.
Transport situation
The integrated municipality of Rethem lies in a central position within Lower Saxony at the intersection of the three agglomerations Bremen, Hannover and Hamburg. These cities can be reached via the A 7 and A 27 motorways in one hour in each case. The regional centres of Walsrode, Verden and Nienburg are each approx. 20 km away. The nearest rail stations are in Eystrup, Walsrode, Dörverden Nienburg and Verden.
