Hannover's uniquely favourable location within Europe is without equal. This is where the major motorways intersect that run from North to South and from West to East.
The city is one of the most important hubs in the European rail network.
The region can boast one of Europe's most modern airports with Hannover-Langenhagen, which possesses one of the latest air freight centres.
Hannover is a "port city" with four inland harbours on the Mittelland Canal.
Within the Hannover Region, the local public transport system and the road network are counted among the best in Europe since the EXPO 2000 World Exposition.
The CeBIT and the Hannover Industrial Fair, the world's two largest trade shows, are staged here.
