State initiatives

The European Center of Adaptive Systems (ECAS) e.V. systematically consolidates specific activities in research, development and application with the support of the Niedersachsen state government and serves as integration platform.

The objective of the Brennstoffzelle Niedersachsen initiative is to network the active participants from all the fields relevant for fuel cell technology. The aim is to initiate pilot and demonstration projects, introduce cooperations between industry and research, and accelerate product developments.

The life science network BioRegionN promotes national and international cooperation in the life sciences domain and provides ongoing support to the scientific community in this field in translating their findings into sustainable business success.

The MST state initiative strengthens the automotive, measurement technology and sensory technology fields for production and automation. Optical technologies and the Life Sciences (medical and biotechnologies) are also supported.

The state initiative aims to assist and promote the transfer of know-how and technology about new materials from the scientific community to specific fields of application.

Niedersachsen Aviation is the state initiative to support the aerospace industry in Niedersachsen. The objective is to consolidate and improve the competitiveness of Niedersachsen and of North Germany in the national and international arena. With targeted measures in the fields of technology transfer, innovation, location development and settlement policy, the strengths of the aviation and space industry are to be further enhanced through Niedersachsen Aviation. Alongside this goal, the initiative aims to achieve an active transfer of know-how and technology into other areas of the mobility sector as well. The value added for companies is the constant focus of activities. To this end, the initiative offers a broad spectrum of services in the fields of network management, project management, information and public relations. Niedersachsen Aviation is represented throughout the state through its business offices and partners, and is the central point of contact for all aviation, aeronautic and astronautic issues.

The objective of the Niedersachsen Logistics Initiative is to consolidate the importance of logistics for the business location of Niedersachsen. With its Internet-based logistics portal, the initiative provides a cross-industry and integrative network in the domain of logistics and transport.

The mission of PhotonicNet lies in the exchange of experience, the transfer of know-how and furthering of project-related, interdisciplinary cooperation between the business, research and scientific communities. The initiative handles innovative R&D projects in the “Optical Technologies” domain.

The SatNav state initiative brings protagonists involved with the subject of satellite navigation in contact with one another. The priority lies in the certification of safety-critical applications (particularly in traffic conditions) and the development of advanced navigation and location technologies.

The State Telematics Initiative offers a platform to all those involved in the field of telematics in Niedersachsen.  Through this platform, the aim is to strengthen the competitiveness and innovative capability of business and research in the state. The current focus of the state initiative lies in the area of transport telematics.
