The Niedersachsen Ministry of Economics has published a 130-page Business Guide that provides information on all issues of interest for foreign investors. The Guide is available for downloading in 11 different languages on the NGlobal Internet site under the menu “Inward Investment” (or “ Ansiedlung” in the German version of the site).

This brochure published by NGlobal provides compact information with economic data on the state of Niedersachsen.

Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are a promising urban development instrument to enhance attractiveness, strengthen and revitalise the inner cities, district centres, residential areas and business centres. The DIHK (Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce) document offered here provides an overview of the DID initiatives according to federal state.

The Niedersachsen Monitor aims to achieve a comprehensive, independent and objective determination of the position of Niedersachsen through a systematic comparison of the German federal states. The Niedersachsen Institute for Statistics and Communication Technology (LSKN) makes this detailed interstate comparison available for downloading.

The Niedersachsen Institute for Economic Research (NIW) has compiled a new Regional Report, which provides a detailed presentation of the development of the regions and areas in Niedersachsen. The basic data of the Regional Report relate to aspects such as the population trend, the employment situation, business start-ups, income, taxing capacity, local authority finances and even the level of childcare facilities. The “Regionalreport 2009” from the NIW can be downloaded free of charge.
